He is survived by: his children, Ronald Barry Sammons of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Melissa Sue Sammons-Gudis of Union Grove; his sons-in-law, Steve Gudis and Jesus Villeda; his brothers, Roger and Scotty Sammons; and his sister-in-law Janell Sammons.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Brindlee Mountain Chapel Funeral Home (3552 Hwy 231, Laceys Spring, AL 35754). The lying in state was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Olive Baptist Church (231 Union Grove Rd, Guntersville, AL 35976).
