It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Slaten (Union Grove, Alabama), born in Montgomery, Alabama, who passed away on January 21, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse James Miller and Esther Butler Miller. She is survived by: her children, Steven Slaten of Trinity, Perry Neal Slaten of Union Grove and Lynne Slaten Hughes of Decatur; and her sisters, Jean Miller Poe of Boaz and Sarah Miller Singleton of Bowling Green, KY. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
