She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Pace and Goldree Carter; and her brother Sam Carter. She is survived by : her husband Lee Dester Collins; her daughter Rita Gatheright (Joe); her granddaughters, Kimberly Ann Walker (Tony) and Tina Marie Cole (Mike); her great grandchildren, Janae Gladden (Breon), Jordyn Walker, Antonio Walker, Miyah Cole, Cameron Cole, Michael Cole Jr., Elijah Gatheright, Marlee Walker and Breon Gladden Jr.; and her brother Willie Carter (Emma). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
