He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Robert and Ruby Hickman Dawson; and his siblings, Andy Dawson and Judy Dawson. He is survived by: his wife Sherrie Dawson; his children, Stacey Dean (David Theo) and Emory "Gus" Dawson, Jr.; his grandsons, David Chase Dean and Randall Blake Dean; his sister Janice Tyson (Robert); and his sister-in-law Christy Dawson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
