He was predeceased by: his wife Helen I. Neff; his parents, Catherine Lee Neff and J. P. Neff, Jr.; his son Michael Lee Neff; and his siblings, Rachel Lee Neff and Robert C. Neff.
He is survived by: his nephews, Spencer Neff, Jon Neff and Clay Neff.
He worked with several volunteer programs in the area and was honored as Volunteer of the Year in 2007 by Colbert County Homeland Security RSVP.
