It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmie Kay Jones of Tuscumbia, Alabama, who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Jack Loyd James and Billy Joe Jones; her parents, Buren Haywood "B. H." and Mattie Estell Mashburn (McDougle); her daughter Jennifer Lynn James; and her siblings, John Parris Mashburn and Judith Ann Morrow.
She is survived by: her son Ricky L. James (Michelle Garrard James); her grandchildren, Leah James Townsend (Brice), Levi James, Paige Kimbrough, Ashley Hester Crosby (Tony), Katie Hester and Will Hester; her great grandchildren, Harris and Eloise Crosby; and her sister Nettie Mae Mashburn Seal. She is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
