She was predeceased by: her husband William H. Howard; her parents, Finis Smallwood and Captolia Byrd Smallwood; and her grandson Brandon Howard. She is survived by: her children, Melisa Tubbs and William S. "Sam" Howard; and her siblings, James "Buddy" Smallwood and Evelyn Zills. She is also survived by her numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
