Louella Alves Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Louella Alves of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, born in Norfolk, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 29, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Thomason Alves; her children, James Thomason Alves, Jr. and Ann Kathryn Alves; and her parents, Emma McGee Rice and Robert Clarence Rice.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Clarence Rice, Jr. (Angel); her children, Robert Mark Alves (Polly) and Mary Alves Sella (Nicholas); her grandchildren, Mary Kathryn Alves (Astrid Alves-Weiss), Nicholas Eugene Sella, Jr. (Sarah), James Barclay Alves and Anna Kathryn Sella; and her great grandchildren, Francis Mark Alves-Weiss, Julian David Alves-Weiss and Brigid Marin Alves-Weiss. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Church of the Epiphany (1101 Sunset Dr, Guntersville, AL 35976). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
