With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karla S Johnson (Tuscaloosa, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 16, 2024 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Clemie Dossett Stringfellow; her husband William Marvin Johnson Jr.; and her father Rev. Karl Davis. She is survived by: her daughter Elizabeth J. Troyer (Clark); her grandchildren, Karl W. J. and Olivia Troyer; her son Meredith Johnson (Susan McCallum); her grandchildren, Isla, William and Beatrice Johnson; her brother Col. Gary Stringfellow (Anita); her nieces and nephews, Stephanie Stringfellow and Bethanie Hurley (Wyatt); and her brother-in-law Douglas Brooks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Lake United Methodist Church (1711 4th Ave, Tuscaloosa, AL 35401).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Forest Lake United Methodist Church of Tuscaloosa, Hospice of West Alabama or Alabama Arise.
