He was predeceased by: his wife Jimmie Gene Hayes; his parents, Malcolm Hayes, Sr. and Lucille Greer; and his siblings, Mack Hayes, Revis Hayes and Louise Burkhalter.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Watkins (Graves) and Stan Hayes (Karen); his grandchildren, Riley Jo Watkins and Mandy Sabbagh (Garth); his great grandchild Gage Sabbagh; his siblings, Ray Hayes, Shirley Ann Patton, Charlotte Dodson (Tommy) and Bonnie Ruth Grant; and his siblings-in-law, Mike Spiller (Connie), Nedra Franks and Joan Ashcraft (Duane). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
