She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret Darcey and Cyrus Darcey; her husband James David Haynes; her daughter Martha Ann Haynes; and her siblings, Charles Darcey, Delores Darcey Dyer and Warren Darcey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Nelson, Wanda Gardner (Joel), Diana Adamson (Anthony), Linda Andreen (Bill), Barbara McAllister (Dennis) and Mary Etheredge (Terrell); her nieces, Charlene Darcey Hansen and Lori Darcey Mercer; her nephew Glen Darcey; and her grandchildren, David Faulk, Laura Faulk Cook, Robert Gardner, Nathan Gardner, Jasmin Adamson Galarneau, Samantha Adamson Bradley, Austin Adamson, Nicholas Powell, Benjamin Pendegraft and Joshua Hallman. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Magnolia Chapel Funeral Home- Tuscaloosa (6100 Old Greensboro Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at the Memory Hills Gardens Cemetery (2200 Skyland E Blvd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35405).
Memorial donations may be made in Janet's name to Moundville Methodist Church in Moundville, Alabama.
