He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Richard Sharbutt Sr. and Sally Sue Smith Sharbutt. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kathleen Sharbutt; his children, Laura Sharbutt Malone (Bryan) and Christopher Edwin Sharbutt (Lori); and his grandchildren, Madison Gray Spivey (Hudson), Laura Ashlynn Gray (Tyler Frederick), Avery Hayes Sharbutt, Aiden Grace Sharbutt and Ethan Cross Sharbutt. He is also survived by his family, friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Circlewood Baptist Church (2201 Loop Rd, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at the Tuscaloosa Memorial Park (5434 Old Birmingham Hwy, Tuscaloosa, AL 35404).
