He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard E. Moffitt and Opal C. Moffitt; and his son Curry S. Moffitt. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Mills Moffitt; his daughter Mindy Crawford (Chad); his daughter-in-law Stacey Moffitt; his siblings, Margaret Goins (Kenneth) and Tim Moffitt (Linda); and his grandchildren, Halle Moffitt, Evan Crawford, Trevor Crawford and Anna Kate Crawford.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the Good Samaritans Clinic in Northport, Alabama.
