He was predeceased by: his wife Sybil N. Phillips; and his parents, Hardy Phillips and Mary Ella Phillips. He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie P. Chappell (Billy) and Barbara P. Taylor (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jamie Taylor Mincy (Josh), Forrest E. Taylor, Will J. Chappell III (Katherine) and Callie P. Chappell; his great grandchildren, Wade Mincy, Warren Mincy and Mary Wesley Chappell; and his brother Julian F. Phillips.
