He is survived by: his son George Frederick Neilson III; his granddaughter Glenna Neilson Orum (Blake); his great grandchildren, Ginny, Caroline, Grace and Aniston; and his caregivers, Corean Britton, Phyllis Walker, Pam Dallas, Elaine Dallas, Brenda Senekal and Michael Blackburn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Christ Episcopal Church or Hospice of West Alabama.
