She was predeceased by: her husband Lester E. Potts, Jr. of Ethelsville, AL; her parents, Mary Ernestine Smiley Oaks and Owen Candler Oaks; and her sister Aleatha Jayne Oaks Kinard. She is survived by: her son Dr. Daniel "Danny" Christian Potts; her daughter-in-law Ellen Woodward Potts; her sister Claire Oaks; her granddaughters, Julia Margaret Potts of Birmingham and Maria Christian Potts of Morgantown, WV; and her cousin James Franklin Oaks III (Ann Lay Oaks) of Huntsville, AL. She is also survived by nieces and nephews and their children.
