It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Caroline Porch Hawkins of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, born in Gadsden, Alabama, who passed away on July 22, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilson Maxwell Hawkins Jr.; her parents, Carolyn DuPre Porch and Donald Gilbert Porch; and her granddaughter Lillian Adele Crowe. She is survived by: her brothers, Dr. Donald Gilbert Porch Jr. and Brooks Liles Porch; her children, Thomas Edward McMillan III (Susanne), Lucile McMillan Ladd (Patrick), Wilson James Hawkins and Priscilla Anne Hawkins Crowe; her grandchildren, Mary Coley McMillan, Caroline Lucile McMillan, Thomas Edward McMillan IV, Caroline DuPre Ladd, Patrick Benton Ladd Jr., Louise McMillan Ladd, Charles Maxwell Polasky and Benton Matthew Polasky; and her great grandchild Annie Kate Polasky. She is also survived by many nieces and a nephew.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service at "The Pink Party Palace."In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 4501 Old Shell Road, Mobile, Alabama 36608.
