She was predeceased by: her husband Donald G. Liles; her mother Bertha Mae Franklin; her stepfather William Marshall Franklin; her father Arles C. Thomas; her stepmother Charlotte Faye Thomas (Gray); and her brother John Edward Thomas.

She is survived by: her sons, Donald G. Liles II and William M. Liles (Jennifer); her siblings, Lynn Etheridge (Cecil), Michael Thomas, Dwayne Thomas, Clifton Thomas (Diane), Eugene Thomas (Candi) and Edwin Thomas; and her grandchildren, Caleb Liles, Logan Liles, Meredith H. Liles and Myles H. Liles.
