He is survived by: his wife Cindy Nielsen (Sharp) of Trussville, AL.; his sons, Chad Nielsen (Jodie) of Morris, AL., Todd Nielsen (Beth) of Creston, IA., Kurt Nielsen (Kathy) of Freeman, MO. and Brett Downing (Kathy) of LaVista, Neb.; his grandchildren, Ashley Nielsen, Brock Nielsen, Olivia Nielsen-Irr, Evan Nielsen, Alex Nielsen, Chelcee Rathe, Trevor Downing, Chase Downing, Myla Downing, Kassidy Nielsen and Elizabeth Arledge; and his siblings, Keith Nielsen, Patty Nielsen, Donna Talbot and Betty Calabrese. He is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.
