She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband John E. Carr; her parents, Bertha Idene Waters and O. D. Waters; her sister Elizabeth Almeda Edwards (Dotdot); her daughter Samantha Kerzic (Robert Lee Kerzic); her grandchildren, Bailey Hicks (Fox Lindstrom), Kody Hicks (Shelby) and Chris Kerzic (Beth); her great grandchildren, Caleb, Barret, Remy and Ryder; and her nieces and nephews, Randy Edwards (Rebecca), Ricky Edwards (Belinda), Jennifer Hawthorne (Trey), Michelle Shelton (Brad) and Richard Brandon Edwards.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 at the John Ridout's Funeral Home (1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235).
