He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alford and Charlotte Skaggs. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Skaggs; his daughters, Erin Skaggs Weber (Stephen) of McCalla and Laurie Skaggs Varnon of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren, Parker Weber and Olivia Varnon; his sister Diane Burge (Richard) of Blountsville; and his brother-in-law Danny Joyner of Honoraville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Girl Scouts of North Central Alabama in his name.
