As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Patty Marlin may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Marlin and Fay Aston Marlin; and her husband Russell Gannaway. She is survived by: her children, Angie Garvich (Paul Frick) and Tom Garvich (Dana); her grandsons, Aaron Garvich and Hardy Frick; and her sister Nancy Sargent. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home (1591 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235). A graveside service was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Forest Hill Cemetery (431 60th St N, Birmingham, AL 35212).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children's Hospital of Birmingham in Mrs. Gannaway's memory.
