We are sad to announce that on January 30, 2023, at the age of 91, Margene S. Thornton (Trussville, Alabama) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Harry "Pat" Preston Thornton; her parents, Ida Terry Shurett and Robert Fletcher Shurett; and her sisters, Carlene Shurett Fleck and Elaine Shurett Farley.

She is survived by: her children, Larry Thornton (Pam), Jeff Thornton (Paula) and Nancy Thornton Tuggle (Tim). She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Church PCA Mission Fund.
