He was predeceased by: his parents, Blan Sandlin and Pearl Huffman Sandlin; and his sister Ellen S. McDowell. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Parker Sandlin; his daughter Belinda Sandlin Garner (Rodger); his siblings, Marilyn S. Wiggins and Bennie Sandlin; his grandchildren, Craig Garner, Jason Garner (Faithe) and Heather Garner; and his great grandchildren, Henry Garner, William Garner and Jake Garner.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
