James left this world on December 19, 2024 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his wife Glenna Fay Pepper (Maddox); his brothers, Clayton Pepper and Bobby Pepper; and his grandchildren, Trey Tate (Kari), Erin Scott (Todd), Amber Allcorn (Woody), Christy Johnson (Brian), Ryan Gunnells (DeeAnn), Michael Gunnells (Hunter) and Dr. Linnea Pepper.
He is survived by: his children, Vallarie Tate (Ray), James Jr. Pepper (Denise), Derrell Pepper (Doreen) and Michele Kelly (Adam); and his close friend Joyce White. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
