She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Fields and Alta Mae Fields; her husband Paul Stanford; her siblings, Willie Mae Kimbrough and Wilburn Fields; and her stepdaughter Paula McAlpin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Woodard (Barry) and Brenda Caldwell (Rick); and her grandchildren, Jeff Willhelm (Sherry), Chris Willhelm (Tiffanie), Marc Willhelm, Emily Masters (Bart) and Lauren Osterday (Mitchell). She is also survived by great-great grandchildren and step grandchildren.
Memorial donations can be made in Helen's name to Hope Community Church, formerly McElwain Baptist Church, where Helen was a member for most of her life.
