She was predeceased by: her husband Dewey Pylant; her parents, Almous Barnett and Louise Barnett; her siblings, Eugene Mims Barnett and Sue Hames; and her son-in-law Dan Henderson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda Mullins (Jim) and Rita Henderson; her grandchildren, Jamie Mullins (Kelly), Kevin Mullins (Apryl) and Andrea Hopkins (Jamey); and her great grandchildren, Conner, Presley Mullins, Tripp, Carson Mullins, Ellyson Foret-Hopkins, Addison and Cole Hopkins.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made to Alzheimer's of Central Alabama at P.O. Box 2273, Birmingham, AL 35201-2273.
