He was predeceased by: his mother Barbara Monteith Townsend; and his niece Lisa Luquire. He is survived by: his wife Sarah Mullins Monteith; his sister Samye "Susie" Luquire of Tuscaloosa; his brother-in-law Don Townsend of Hoover; his nephew Rusty Luquire (Keisha) of Birmingham; his niece Cathy Townsend Smith (Fred) of Hoover; and his great-nieces, Amie Smith of Pelham, Ashley Kirby (Nicholas) of Helena, Jenny Kirby of Helena and Emma. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
