He was predeceased by: his daughter Barbara Kim Fannin; his parents, Lewis R Fannin and Erin D. Fannin; his stepmother Opal L. Fannin; and his siblings, Alice F. Green (Manly), Mary F. Whittaker (Walter), Rivers Fannin (Hilda) and Frances Manning (Emmett).
He is survived by: his wife Nell G. Fannin; his children, William Lewis Fannin Jr. (Michele) and Carol F. Kilpatrick; his grandchildren, Jacob Fannin (Macale), Ashley Simmons, Aaron Simmons and Josh Ellis (Marie); his great grandchild Ally Brooke Fannin; his siblings, Julia Nell Chandler and Oren Fannin (Leshia); and his sister-in-law Janice Grant Ganter. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 28th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home (206 Old Hwy 231 N, Troy, AL 36081). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, August 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
