She was predeceased by: her father Robert Richard Day. She is survived by: her husband Reverend Ralph E. Avera; her daughters, Jennifer Avera and Judith Armstead (Mike); her grandson Michael Edward Armstead, Jr.; her mother Willie Dell Day; and her sisters, Jean Gorey (Bill), Myrlene Caraway (Chuck) and Robbin Reeves (Allen). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
