He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Vernell Roper and Gola Mae Elmore Roper; his grandparents, Nesbit and J. T. Elmore; and his grandchild Micaela Lee.
He is survived by: his children, Eric Roper (Tamie), Donna Lee (Chris) and Brandy Roper; and his sisters, Melba Grant of Niceville, FL. and Linda Thompson of Niceville, FL..
The family will receive friends Wednesday at the funeral home from 12:30 p. m. until 1:00 p. m. Social distancing guidelines and masks and will be observed.
