He is survived by: his mother Mary Frances Ming Tate; his brother Jeff Tate (Ashley); his nephews, Luke Tate (Mattie), Seth Tate (Bailey) and Joel Tate; his great-nephew Matthew Deets Tate; and his great-niece Ann Jackson Tate. He is also survived by several aunts and cousins.
