He was predeceased by: his father Archie Lee Ward; his siblings, Yvonne Ward Banks, Patricia Ward, Lucille Griffin Wright, Archie Samuel Ward and Cleveland Ward; his sister-in-law Bernida Parker Ward; and his godson Timothy "Teddy" Porter.

He is survived by: his wife Jane Russell Ward; his sons, Antony Darius Ward, Ryan D'Lon Ward and Marlon Jarrell Ward; his grandchildren, Bryson Terrell Ward, Javion Anthony Andrews and Josiah Braylon Andrews; his mother Iola Ward; his siblings, Sylvia Ward Allen, Hilda Ward Hoskins, Marilynn Ward Royal, Kaffy Griffin, Christopher Ward and Kevin Neville Ward (Ruby); his siblings-in-law, Patrice Carpenter, Brenda Malloy (Michael), Rosslyn Russell, Johnny Banks, George Russell (Christine) and Michael Russell (Cynthia); and his godchildren, Joyia Porter Brooks (Keonn) and Natalie Elyce Wheeler.
