With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Linda J. Herring (Troy, Alabama), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 18, 2025 at the age of 86. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Linda J. Herring to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Hamil and Louise Johnson; and her siblings, Kathryn Nonnemann, Betty Hobbs and Tommy Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Michael Blake (Benita), Susan Petulla (Dan) and Brenda Wambles; her grandchildren, Candace Barton (Burl), Josiah Blake, Taylor Gordon (Todd), Blake Brown (Mara), Brittany Dent (Thomas) and Corey Wambles (Hanna); her great grandchildren, Liam Wall, Wolfgang Coleman, Willow Gordon, Mason Faircloth, Emma Bradley, Aaron and Tucker Dent; and her siblings, Joe Johnson (Anne) and Delores Motes (Herman). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home (206 Old Hwy 231 N, Troy, AL 36081).
