She was predeceased by: her father Ewell Bassett; her siblings, Robert Bruce Bassett, Michael Thomas Bassett and Carol Jean Bassett; and her sister-in-law Rebecca "Becky" Bassett.
She is survived by: her aunt Sugar; her husband Robert Cary; her mother Eleanor Bassett; her brother Fred Bassett; her nieces, Hilary Bassett and Jen Rose; and her great-nephew Grayden Bassett-Teague.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her honor to the First United Methodist Church of Troy General Fund (213 N Three Notch St., Troy, AL 36081) or to a favorite charity of choice.
