He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jean Atwell; and his son Robert B. Atwell. He is survived by: his daughter Debby Hopkins Mims (Parion); and his grandchildren, Heather Irving (Lee), Christopher Jude Atwell, Eric Atwell, Berchum Atwell and Jason Atwell. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins.
