He was predeceased by: his wife Alva Graves; and his son-in-law Homer Pettengill. He is survived by: his children, JoAnn Pettengill of Level Plains, AL, Kathy Hendrix (Buddy) of Troy, AL and Jim Graves (Jeanine) of Dallas, TX; and his grandchildren, Emily Stallsmith (David), Alison Pettengill, Katie Bradley (Aaron), Megan Ingram (Kurt), Christopher Hendrix (Halee), Jeffrey Graves (Jelena), Jennifer Cantu and Jayna Bond (Chris). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory (1301 Neal Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel (1301 Neal Metcalf Rd, Enterprise, AL 36330). A burial was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Meadowlawn Cemetery (6121 AL-27, Enterprise, AL 36330).
