He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Austin and Catherine Austin; his nephew Christopher Ledford; and his nieces, Brooke Ledford and Lexi Pierce.

He is survived by: his siblings, Myra Brooks, Cherry Ledford (Raymond), Wyatt Austin (Diane), Jackie Johnston and Lyndon Austin; and his great-nephew Reed Ledford. He is also survived by nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Sandfield Cemetery Fund: 6153 AL Hwy 223, Troy, AL 36081.
