James Junior Mehaffey Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Junior Mehaffey of Troy, Alabama, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 30, 2024 at the age of 77. He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Mehaffey; his parents, Marlin Mehaffey and Pearl Mehaffey; and his siblings, Charles Mehaffey, William Mehaffey, Alton Mehaffey, Andrew Mehaffey and Beulah Mae Bundy.
He is survived by: his children, Gayle Hudmon (Ricky) and David Mehaffey (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Paige Musgrove (Jamie), Nick Turvin (Katelyn), Madison Schaeffer (Lex) and Todd Mehaffey; his great grandchildren, Reese Schaeffer, Blakely Turvin, Callie Schaeffer, Raynae Musgrove, Hudmon Turvin, Eli Schaeffer and Owen Turvin; and his siblings, A. D. Mehaffey and Mary Roten. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dillard Funeral Home (206 Old Hwy 231 N, Troy, AL 36081). A graveside service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Antioch Baptist Church (3306 Co Rd 3310, Troy, AL 36079).
