It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Edward Tillery (Troy, Alabama), who passed away on June 22, 2022, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalker Branton and Shirley Branton; and his son John Edward Tillery. He is survived by: his grandsons, J. D. Tillery and Jayce Smith; his wife Avelina Tillery; his children, Eddie "Peewee" Tillery (Trudie), Kristi Lewis (Jerrick), Tommy Tillery and Troy Tillery; his grandchildren, Blake Tillery, Hunter Smith and McKinnley Smith; and his siblings, Bruce Branton, Phillip Branton, Kathy Johnson and Gwen Robson (Howie). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
