It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Weaver McLendon of Troy, Alabama, born in Grant, Alabama, who passed away on April 5, 2021, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Wade Douglas McLendon, Sr.; her parents, Otis Weaver and Nancy Sims; her siblings, Franklin Dee Weaver, Charles Weaver (Doris) and Glenda Weaver; and her siblings-in-law, Foye Jean Brown (Paul), Hoyt McLendon (Martha) and James Earl McLendon (Mary).
She is survived by: her son Wade Douglas McLendon, Jr.; her daughter-in-law Christine Jennifer Balmer; her grandchildren, Wade Douglas McLendon, III (Claire Elizabeth Rickner), Brandon Scott McLendon, Alexandria Caitlin McLendon and Jennifer Brooke McLendon; her daughter Tammy McLendon Brooks; her son-in-law Jody Collins Brooks; her grandson Jacob Peter Brooks; her siblings, Ellen Weaver Ridgeway (David), Louise Lassiter (Michael), Linda Miller (David), Mac Weaver (Judy) and Wendell Davis; her brothers-in-law, Bill McLendon, John David McLendon (Peggy) and Ricky Eugene McLendon (Sue); her grandsons, Douglas McLendon, Scott McLendon, Jacob Brooks and Jonah Brooks; and her nephews, Joel Weaver, John Weaver, David McLendon, Michael McLendon, Chris McLendon and Brian McLendon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family is accepting flowers; however, donations can be made to Park Memorial United Methodist Church and the Alabama Baptist Children's Home.
