He is survived by: his wife Virginia Hamm; his daughters, Sherri Plunkett (Darnell) and Lee Gilmore (Russell); his grandchildren, Vincent Zirkle, Jeffrey Griffin, Chelsea Blythe (Josh), Colton Gilmore, Carl J. Plunkett and Brooke Plunkett; his great grandchild Owen Blythe; and his siblings, James Hamm (Evelyn), Mareitha Strickland and Laura King (Pat). He is also survived by nieces, nephews.
