Davis (Troy, Alabama), born in Hearne, Texas, who passed away on December 5, 2019, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. “To Fred's family. I did not know that Fred had passed away, and I was getting ready to send him a card to 402 S. Franklin Dr. in Troy. I taught with him at Troy University, and he was a neighbor of our mutual good friend Dr. Gertrude Schroeder.. The two of them took each other to doctor appointments. Fred was the epitome of a gentleman and a scholar, and he had a good sense of humor. We sat in his kitchen and shared memories of our days at Troy in the late 60's. Blessings, Carolyn Haldeman”
