Though Don Herbert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Don Herbert leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy Jean Sasser; and his parents, Wilson Sasser and Wilma Kimbro Sasser. He is survived by: his sons, Scott Sasser and Chris Sasser (Kim); his granddaughters, Hailey Sasser and Peyton Sasser; his siblings, Douglas Sasser and Magdalene Sasser Petrey; and his caregiver Lylah McConnell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Turners Funeral Home (360 E 3rd St, Luverne, AL 36049). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
