He is survived by: his wife Alene Sheets; his children, Anne Hamm (Andy) and Jimmy Sheets (Elaine); his grandchildren, Nikki Stephens (Brian), Nathan Hussey (Taylor), Spencer Sheets (Kara) and Summer Sheets; and his great grandchildren, Dean, Carson, Colson and Oliver.
The family will be accepting flowers or memorial donations may be made to Southern Care Hospice.
