He was predeceased by: his parents, Senator L. L. "Dago" and Mary Nell Dozier; his brother Cecil Dozier; and his brother-in-law Wayne Dickens. He is survived by: his wife Betty Dozier; his children, Brittany Royal (D. J.), Deonne Flowers (Tracy), Kerrie Lynn Harris (Guy) and Cary "Chip" Dozier, Jr.; his grandchildren, Trip Royal, Grace Royal, Roger Phoenix (Paige), Kiriana Stukas (Paul), Jazz Wilton, Riley Dozier, Gabby Dozier, Savannah Dozier, Cole Dozier, Dylan Dozier and Hunter Dozier; his sister Gail Dickens; and his caregivers, Angela and Jean. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Funeral Home (1621 US-29, Troy, AL 36079). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Green Hills Memorial Cemetery (1621 US-29, Troy, AL 36079).
