He was predeceased by: his wife Sue Rushing Pyron; his daughter Melissa Pyron; his grandson James Edward McLendon, III; his parents, Luther Pyron and Ida Mae Pyron; his sister Betty Moseley (Jeff); and his brother-in-law Curt Everage.
He is survived by: his children, Ben Pyron (Amanda), Melinda Jeffcoat (Mike), Michelle McLendon (James) and Robin Ward (Wade); his grandchildren, Jami McLendon, Keith Jeffcoat (Christi), Jessica Rucker (Danny), James McLendon IV, Nicholas McLendon (Ashley), Brayden Pyron, Maci Pyron and Robin Ward (Wade); his sister Phyllis Everage; and his sisters-in-law, Julanne Rushing and Kathy Rushing. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and several nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
