She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ernest Mills and Annie Belle Heaps Mills; her husband William J. "Dow" Beene; and her siblings, Roy Mills, Lila Vandiver, Helen Savage, Mary Belle Henson and Addie Strickland.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Beene Millsap, Ricky Beene (Kim) and Karen Wise (Rodney); and her sister Opal Harris. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
