He was predeceased by: his wife Carolyn Oliver; his stepson Dale Merrell; and his siblings, Dan Oliver, Mickey Oliver and Sara Schneider.
He is survived by: his close friend Pamela Jeffreys; his children, Stoney Merrell (Tina), Rhonda Oliver of Town Creek and Debbie Oliver of Oklahoma; and his siblings, Wayne Oliver (Wanda) of Leighton, Larry Oliver (Glenda) of Town Creek, Shelby Parker of Town Creek, Stella Allen (Buddy) of Town Creek, Barbara Vandiver of Town Creek and Elizabeth Greene of Lexington. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, Pallbearers will be the nephews.
