She was predeceased by: her mother Virgie Montgomery; her brothers, James, Paul and David Montgomery; and her former husband John Rayburn Mitchell.
She is survived by: her sons, John Rayburn Mitchell of Priceville and Brian Keith Mitchell of Decatur; her grandchildren, Brian Connor Mitchell and Jenna Lynn Mitchell; and her brother Danny Montgomery. She is also survived by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to UAB Department of Neurology Division of Memory Disorders and Behavioral Neurology.
